Digital skills for rural areas
At the ID20 Institute, our recent months are marked, among other things, by the AgriSkills project, which focuses on digital innovations and entrepreneurial skills in agriculture in rural areas. The project began in 2022 and is funded by the Erasmus+ program. With it, we aim to raise awareness in the agricultural sector about the possibilities of acquiring essential skills for digital, precision, and smart farming.
The AgriSkills project increases awareness, knowledge, and skills in the field of digitalization and digital farming. We are proud to contribute to building a community that is capable of navigating the dynamic landscape of modern agriculture. In addition to the ID20 Institute, the project also involves the leading partner INI-Novation, WIN from Austria, MEDC from North Macedonia, and Connexions from Greece.
The guided path through digital opportunities.
One of our key achievements is the development of the AgriSkills educational course, which guides participants through an extensive array of digital opportunities in agriculture. The course enables individuals to acquire essential skills and competencies necessary for success in digital, precision, and smart farming. With this program, available in English and the languages of our partner countries (German, Greek, Slovenian, and Macedonian), we are bridging a crucial gap in agricultural training.

The course consists of five comprehensive modules tailored to the needs we identified during our initial research. We conducted it in five European countries – Germany, North Macedonia, Greece, Slovenia, and Austria – and it forms the basis of our learning modules. You can also view the needs analysis at this link.
The AgriSkills educational course is freely available for use and has been developed under a Creative Commons license. It is suitable for independent and hybrid learning, and vocational education and training organizations can integrate the course into their regular educational programs, thus ensuring access to valuable knowledge and skills.
